The TARUS TBMR is a Traveling Bridge Modular Rail CNC Machining Center . Intended uses are Contour Milling of Stamping Dies, Injection Molds, Assembly Fixtures and other Automotive and Aerospace Tooling. The 4267 mm Y axis and 4850 mm wide opening between the columns accommodates the largest of workpieces.
The Modular Rail X axis allows for the machine to be virtually any length desired. All axes are driven by TARUS’ integrated Torque Motor Ballnut. For machines with X axis travels longer than 6096 mm Dual Pinion Drive is utilized.
The TBMRC is equipped with the TARUS 2 Axis Clamping Angle Head. Range is 0-90º degrees in the A axis and 360º in the C Axis. Spindle angle is clamped with springs and unclamped hydraulically for rotation via the servo motors. A seamless ring induction scale is fit directly to the rotating axes. The Clamping Heads 50 Taper Spindle is a directly driven by a water cooled Synchronous motor, 0-10,000 rpm, 29 kW, 176 Nm peak.
The TBMR5 is equipped with a Fork Style 2 Axis Milling Head for full 5 axis milling. Torque motors coupled to 2 stage gear reduction a provide huge positioning and holding force for the A and C axes. A seamless ring induction scale is fit directly to the rotating axes. Spindle is an HSK 63, 0-15,000 rpm, 45 kW, 150Nm peak torque.
A 40 tool ATC and Chip Conveyors are available as options.
