TARUS welcomed Associate Administrator Paul Fitzpatrick from the Small Business Administration to our facility as part of his visit to Detroit for the 1st annual Small Business Matchmaking Event with Aerospace and Defense primes.
Associate Administrator Fitzpatrick took time to meet with Dave Greig, CEO of TARUS asking excellent questions and an eagerness to understand our business, our opportunities, and challenges.
Mr. Fitzpatrick also explained the various ways the Administration is supporting small businesses in the United States. He explained the increased access to funding for businesses like ours and our customers who need to finance machines they purchase. The Administration is expanding access to federal opportunities, connection to defense and aerospace primes with opportunities like the Matchmaking event he was in town for. As importantly, the Administration is dispersing and allocating funds in an intelligent way, making sure spending is done intelligently based on highest priority and greatest need first.
Next, TARUS was delighted to host Associate Administrator Fitzpatrick for a facility tour, where he spoke with employees, learning about what TARUS manufactures and listening to their stories.
He was shown the full range of TARUS vertically-integrated manufacturing operations, from front office, to software development, engineering, milling, quality, waterjet, grind, weld, paint, electrical, and final assembly.
Fitzpatrick stated: "TARUS is what manufacturing and small business is all about. I'm extremely impressed with what you've built here."
