TARUS hosts Stevenson High School for 2023 Manufacturing Day.
Founded in 1969 and located in Sterling Heights, TARUS is a proud member of the Macomb County manufacturing community and is one of the few manufacturers of very large volume, high-precision 5-axis CNC machines in the United States.
With a rich history of innovation spanning over 50 years, TARUS has become a global leader in the machine tool industry with machines that span applications in transportation design, mold & die, aerospace, automotive, defense and military, oil & gas, and power generation.
This morning TARUS hosted 30 students from Stevenson High School as part of National Manufacturing Day 2023. Students were given an overview of TARUS and broke into work groups visiting every aspect of company operations from engineering, electrical, assembly, production, fabrication, quality, and more.
Students were given a variety of personalized items manufactured at TARUS, as well as a custom plaque for Stevenson High School commemorating the event. Students were tested on their knowledge from the tour and correct answers were awarded prizes.
Jill Podolan, Human Resource Generalist for TARUS stated "Manufacturing Day plays a significant role in exposing high school students to the manufacturing industry and can be an inspiring and educational experience for them. It's a hands-on experience that can help them make an informed decision about their future career and potentially spark their interest in pursuing manufacturing related fields. I feel it is a very great program that all high schools should participate in."

I hope some of what they saw today will inspire them as they develop their future and careers. It was a pleasure to speak to them today" stated Brad Kleinow, Director of Service at TARUS.
